There is something about turning 50 that will make a woman take a long look at her life!

When I turned 50, I found myself realizing that I wasn’t happy with my job.  Though I wasn’t sure what it was, something was missing and incomplete.  I had been working in the banking industry for thirty years and I just didn’t look forward to going to work anymore.  The problem was, I really wasn’t aware of everything I was capable of doing.   Banking had been my profession for so long I had not yet explored my passions and skills in other areas.   But when I hit that mid-life birthday, I realized that now was the time for change!

As the wife of a husband in the U.S. Navy, I was used to moving around and making new friends.   Having a strong sense of style, I was diligent in taking care of myself.  Knowing that I looked good and presented myself well gave me a strong sense of self-confidence.  Whether right or wrong, we are often judged by our appearance and I knew that when I looked good, I felt good.  I felt empowered.  When I began thinking about my next career move, I looked in my heart and realized that I would find great joy in helping other women feel this same kind of confidence and comfort with themselves.   Not long after this, I established an image consulting service.

In the years since I established my business, I have worked with both individuals and with groups.  As a consultant and a speaker, I have encountered so many women who are not aware of their personal beauty.   In watching one person after another wake up to both their outer and inner beauty, I have been witness to such an amazing journey!  

I firmly believe that life is a discovery and we are the artists of our lives.  My greatest pleasure has been having the opportunity to see others see themselves with new eyes.   Helping women tap into and claim their beauty is truly an honor.
